I’m currently a junior at

the University of Lynchburg majoring in Accounting and Finance, and I recently started volunteering as Director of Community Relations and Student Engagement under the Student Government Association.

My role focuses on building relationships with student organizations, campus clubs, academic departments, and university leadership. I help bring student questions, ideas, and feedback into meetings so that student perspectives are considered in campus initiatives.

I also work to identify campus events, student achievements, and interesting stories that deserve more attention, coordinating with the Creative Director and Content Coordinator to help share these stories with the wider university community.

One of the things I appreciate about this position is the opportunity to connect with different groups across campus and learn more about what students are involved in.

From club activities to campus events and individual student accomplishments, there are a lot of things happening at the university that people may not always hear about. I enjoy being part of the process of bringing those stories forward and helping create stronger connections between students and the university.

Outside of my studies and campus involvement, I also volunteer with an interfaith organization and work with children. These experiences give me the chance to engage with people from different backgrounds and contribute to communities outside the classroom.

As I continue working toward my degree, I’m looking forward to gaining more experience through these opportunities, learning from the people I work with, and continuing to be involved in the Lynchburg University community.

None of this would have been possible without the generosity of donors like you.

Your support gives them the chance to step back into a classroom and onward into their future.

If you want to help more students reclaim their education and chase their dreams, please consider donating today.
